Some Tipped Over Stories

Jen

I try to make every customer feel welcome and have a great experience. I usually don't count my tips because I feel like it's rude and also am usually too busy taking care of customers. Today, this couple left this on my credit card receipt, and it really made me feel great that I could really make them happy!! It makes me work even harder and try to make everyone happy everyday!!

To make a long story some what shorter, my entire day was made today by two younger gentlemen. I work in peoria and I love my job. Im currently 8 months pregnant and have been moving at a slightly slower pace, not to mention the intense pregnancy brain from lack of sleep. So this evening wasn't going as smoothly as I had hoped but then I waited on a very pleasant table, who so graciously over tipped by way more than I could have hoped for. I'm a firm believer in treating people the way I would like to be treated and these two gentlemen just reconfirmed my belief in that. Thank you both so much. You have no idea how much you helped brighten my evening!!

I've never heard of this site until tonight. I had a great couple leave nearly a 100% tip ($20 on $28). So great after a long week and an unusually slow Saturday. There's still good in the world!

I was having a super bad night at work and the person I work with is a pain and wants everything her way. I was having a really good conversation with two men who turned out to be preachers, who changed their life around. As they were cashing out, he handed me a 20$ bill and told me I have been blessed and tipped over . He also told me he's going to pray for me and invited me to his service!

I had a very nice, patient couple with an adorable son come in tonight and leave over a 30% tip. That was even after their food took longer than usual... Thank you!

I had a rough day this morning with my family. As I was driving to work, I wept. I began to praise The Lord because I knew in the midst of the storm, praising Him would bring me peace. I asked The Lord to send angels to me today at work. Not necessarily for the tips, but angels from God to lift my spirit. I hadn't made "good money" in a few weeks, but all I wanted was God at this point. A family came in the middle of a rush that we had and they were beautiful. What was more beautiful was that I heard the younger son ask if he could pray. I don't even think I brought food to the table yet. I was touched and so humbled that a child began to pray as the rest of the family bowed their heads. I was extremely busy at this point and I wasn't sure if I was giving good service at all to them or any of my tables. I shared with them the secret on why our pizza was so tasty and they genuinely thanked me for sharing the story. I thanked them for coming in because without them our business is nothing. They tipped me 100% of the bill. I was speechless. I was so grateful for the money, but I was more grateful that God blessed me to serve them. They were the Angels I was asking for. Little did they know, their tip and note made a big buzz around the restaurant. It even got back to the owners of the restaurant. Oh and it was like a ripple affect because every table around them and after them tipped me at least 20%. I made more tonight than I've made in weeks-Praise God! To the family from Normal, Illinois, what you did means more to me than you'll ever know. May God fill your cup until it runs over in Jesus' name, amen & amen!

My grandmother passed away about a week ago and my grandfather followed her a few days after. It's been so difficult the past week. The money I recieved from "Tipped Over" means I can take off Friday for my Grandpa's funeral without having to worry about picking up an extra shift to make-up for it. I can spend more time with my family instead. And, I am incredibly grateful for that. It means so much. Thank you and God Bless.

I am a recently divorced, single mom working three jobs to make ends meet. I just got back into waitressing a couple of weeks ago and up until this past Friday night, the money has not been good. I've been very discouraged. A mom and her young daughter came into the Italian restaurant I was working at, just as I was waiting on a large group of people. I didn't feel like I was able to give these two my best attention. But they were very friendly and patient. They left me a 100% tip! I just want to say thank you for having such huge hearts and giving me the encouragement I needed!

I'm a manager at Red Lobster and for the past couple of weeks my team members keep showing me and their team their receipts yelling "HEY I'VE BEEN TIPPED OVER!" WHOMEVER started this fantastic idea I'm appreciative of it. It brings a smile to everyone and leaves excitement for my staff. The whole staff at Red Lobster appreciate you! Thank you!
