Thanks For Sharing The Love!

Here are some of the stories we've heard from the people who have been Tipped Over by your generosity.

Some Tipped Over Stories

It was just an ordinary table. Food was correct, drinks stayed filled. I had just received a $10 tip off of a two top which is exciting enough. I dont work at a high end restaurant. So a few dollars per table is what im use to. Then I go to buss this table after they had left and notice another $10 tip off a two top with a piece of paper. Just an over all warming experience especially when I'm use to getting a few dollars, not two $10 tips back to back. Thank you to the couples who both tipped over.

I recently received an extra tip and the information to this website this past weekend. I had the opportunity to serve a nice young couple. They were very polite and friendly. I appreciate the thoughtfulness and the process of this program as there are times where we get not so polite/friendly guests. The extra tip was awesome, but more importantly the kind words and the TIPPED OVER program are even more worthwhile.

The Lincoln Chill softball team came to Sonic and let us be the place to serve them ice cream after their last regular season game. The coach told me about this website after leaving me a large tip and I couldn't be more grateful. They were a truly great group of people and I wish them the the best.

I waited on a couple that I'm sure I've waited on before. We usually remember faces and tips really well (like when you dont tip at all or you're a 20%-er). They were friendly and were in and out. I dropped off their check for them and they smiled and told me to have a nice day. Later when I went back to clean the table, I thought they left me $4 on a $37 check. Then I went to put in my tips and noticed it was $40 on a $37! How sweet of them!!! I really appreciate this movement and what this site and station are doing for servers out there! We all work really hard and depend on the tips to pay our bills and to live in general. We do a lot behind the scenes for our customers a lot of people don't realize so leaving at least that 20% is very much appreciated. Things like this really make our day and help us realize why we love to serve others! Thank you!!

My wife & I usually tip "over" like 30%-50%, as we both grew up in the hospitality industry, and KNOW what a couple of extra dollars per evening mean to make ends meet. We have good positions now, and can afford to eat out a couple times per month. Since been tipped over, we have been in the 50%-100% range, writing on every receipt. Plus, we pay for the bill on a credit card, but always tip in cash. The servers love it! Our way of doing God's will for other's.

I served a couple this evening and they were nothing but kind. They only ordered desserts and tipped 10$ on 16$ bill. Thank you for your kindness and God bless.

From the moment I woke up this morning I knew today was not going to be my day.. I woke up to my battery dead in my truck, had to take a friend to a court date that didn't end very well, I'm still behind on my bills & to top it off once I got to work, it was dead, and then as soon as everyone left and I was on my own I got slammed.. hard! A total of 10 tables & most were 4 or more people, 3 tables left me absolutely nothing & the others left me $2.. then something amazing happened.. I was cleaning off my tables & 2 of them had left the note "you've been tipped over". Both tables left me over $15! They don't realize how much that meant to me that someone noticed my hard work! Thank you to the two family's who made me feel recognized & appreciated!!!

I had this great couple come in today for my first table. They ordered an appetizer that I actually forgot to bring in. I brought the food, and they reminded me about the appetizer... I got it right out, and they were so understanding, I made sure they were not charged for it! They then tipped me really well and left this website! It is awesome to know that sometimes people are good because of God!

I am a waitress in Forsyth. With it being the forth of July weekend, it was very slow and I was not expecting to make as much as a normal Saturday. A very nice table of three came in and tipped me $60 on a $60 bill. The lady asked me if I had heard of this, which I had not at the time, I was not expecting that large of a tip. As a college student, I appreciated this very much.. It definitely made my day!!

I'd like to be honest and preface that I generally don't listen to the station. Though I am a follower of God, I just never have gotten into the Christian radio thing. I would, however, like to say thank you to you as a station, and to your loyal listeners. I am a server at a resturaunt in East Peoria, and I recieved a generous tip from a family on Sunday. Written with it was "you've been over tipped -WCIC." I didn't get their names, but it was a family of 3 people. I wasn't sure what was going on. I shared my experience with another server, and later in the evening, he also got over tipped with a similar message on his receipt. Therefore, I'm only left to believe it was something your station was promoting and encouranging. In all, I would just like you to know how much I appreciate it. I am a new mom of twin girls, and the resturaunt industry has always treated me well. However, business has slowed down. That's hard enough, but it's especially taken a toll on myself and my family. I don't think I could have ever been fully prepared. It's nice that someone is so selfless, and those extra few bucks mean the world to me. It can turn a horrible day into a great day. It's nice to be noticed as a person and someone working hard. It's nice that someone took the time to care. With much gratitude!
