Here are some of the stories from those who have been Tipped Over by your generosity.

SOME TIPPED OVER STORIES

Beth

Morton

I have been tipped over twice in the last two weeks. Thank you WCIC and your wonderful listeners from a mom of five that makes four dollars an hour. We live off our tips, so this is such a wonderful thing!!!

I was having a pretty awful day. I felt like I was unappreciated and that my talents were worthless to those around me. Not 20 minutes before my shift, I had been crying in my car. A family of 12 came in tonight. Normally, I dread large parties because of the cleanup. But this family was particularly kind to me. I was clearing their mountain of dishes from their table when an older man who had been sitting there stood up, placed $20 in my hand and simply said, “Thank you.” That was the encouragement I needed to get through my shift tonight. It wasn’t the $20. I just needed to know I was appreciated, and that I was doing a good job.

I work in fast food and always treat people how I would want to be treated. There is this regular customer that always comes through and orders the same exact thing. Every time I see her, we have a little chat. She is a very sincere woman. Today, after not seeing her for two weeks, she came through the drive thru. But this time, she gave me an envelope with my name it. In that envelope was twenty dollars and a little not telling me I do a great job and “God bless.” To me the tip was nice, but her going out her way was literally the kindest thing. I definitely want to give her a shout out for that. There are still good people in the world. Thank you !

I was having a horrible day at work. It was just one thing after another. I was really starting to doubt why I worked there. Then I got a party of 14 in the back room. They were absolutely wonderful. They turned my night around just by being so kind and making me laugh. They even left me the rest the birthday cake they brought in. As I went to bus the table off, I had the awesome surprise of being tipped over. I listen to WCIC almost daily so I knew exactly what it meant when they wrote “you’ve been tipped over!” on the top of the credit card receipt. It wasn’t the fact that they left me a large tip that made me so happy; it was the fact that God was listening to my thoughts all night and knew exactly what, or rather who, to send me.
