SOME TIPPED OVER STORIES

James

Decatur

I served a couple this evening and they were nothing but kind. They only ordered desserts and tipped 10$ on 16$ bill. Thank you for your kindness and God bless.

Bloomington

From the moment I woke up this morning I knew today was not going to be my day.. I woke up to my battery dead in my truck, had to take a friend to a court date that didn’t end very well, I’m still behind on my bills & to top it off once I got to work, it was dead, and then as soon as everyone left and I was on my own I got slammed.. hard! A total of 10 tables & most were 4 or more people, 3 tables left me absolutely nothing & the others left me $2.. then something amazing happened.. I was cleaning off my tables & 2 of them had left the note “you’ve been tipped over”. Both tables left me over $15! They don’t realize how much that meant to me that someone noticed my hard work! Thank you to the two family’s who made me feel recognized & appreciated!!!

Savoy

I had this great couple come in today for my first table. They ordered an appetizer that I actually forgot to bring in. I brought the food, and they reminded me about the appetizer… I got it right out, and they were so understanding, I made sure they were not charged for it! They then tipped me really well and left this website! It is awesome to know that sometimes people are good because of God!

Forsyth

I am a waitress in Forsyth. With it being the forth of July weekend, it was very slow and I was not expecting to make as much as a normal Saturday. A very nice table of three came in and tipped me $60 on a $60 bill. The lady asked me if I had heard of this, which I had not at the time, I was not expecting that large of a tip. As a college student, I appreciated this very much.. It definitely made my day!!

Nicole

East Peoria

I’d like to be honest and preface that I generally don’t listen to the station. Though I am a follower of God, I just never have gotten into the Christian radio thing. I would, however, like to say thank you to you as a station, and to your loyal listeners. I am a server at a resturaunt in East Peoria, and I recieved a generous tip from a family on Sunday. Written with it was “you’ve been over tipped -WCIC.” I didn’t get their names, but it was a family of 3 people. I wasn’t sure what was going on. I shared my experience with another server, and later in the evening, he also got over tipped with a similar message on his receipt. Therefore, I’m only left to believe it was something your station was promoting and encouranging. In all, I would just like you to know how much I appreciate it. I am a new mom of twin girls, and the resturaunt industry has always treated me well. However, business has slowed down. That’s hard enough, but it’s especially taken a toll on myself and my family. I don’t think I could have ever been fully prepared. It’s nice that someone is so selfless, and those extra few bucks mean the world to me. It can turn a horrible day into a great day. It’s nice to be noticed as a person and someone working hard. It’s nice that someone took the time to care. With much gratitude!
